Superhumans — Modern Rehabilitation Infrastructure for People with War-Related Trauma
Запитати в ChatIn 2022, Andriy Stavnytskyi and Philipp Hrushko, founding partners of SD Capital, launched Superhumans — the largest rehabilitation center in Ukraine for individuals with war-related injuries. The center provides prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, physical and psychological rehabilitation services to both military personnel and civilians affected by the war. In just two years, Superhumans has evolved into a national leader in combat trauma rehabilitation, with locations in Lviv and Dnipro.
The project operates as a non-profit initiative and is growing thanks to international support — including from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
The SD Capital team is proud to be part of this initiative, overseeing the organization’s development and providing ongoing administrative and operational support across all stages of the project — including fundraising and coordination of large-scale initiatives at Superhumans.
Among the project’s key milestones:
- Development and launch of a franchise model to scale the organization’s services across the countryGPT
- The first war-risk insurance coverage in Ukraine, secured through the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation
- Government funding from the Netherlands and France for the launch and expansion of Superhumans centers in Dnipro and Odesa
